Cookie Policy

Version 4.0Effective from 12 October 2026

1. What Cookies and Storage Are

Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Websites can also keep information in your browser in other ways: local storage, an IndexedDB database, and the cache a service worker uses to make an app work offline. The law treats all of these the same way, so this policy covers them all.

Storage that is strictly necessary for a service you ask for, such as staying signed in, does not need your consent. Anything else, such as advertising measurement, is only used if you agree.

2. What We Use

This is everything ConditionVault saves in your browser.

Google Ads cookies_gcl_au and other _gcl_ cookiesCookieGoogleMeasures which adverts lead to sign-ups, checkouts, subscriptions and enquiriesUp to 90 days, or until you withdraw consentOnly With Your Consent

Without the necessary items you could not sign in, work offline or keep unsaved changes. Choosing them does not track you across other websites.

On our public website and sign-up pages we ask whether we may use Google Ads cookies to see which adverts bring people to ConditionVault. Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and nothing from Google loads until you accept.

  • If you accept, Google's tag loads from googletagmanager.com and Google may set its _gcl_ cookies to record a sign-up, the start of a checkout, a paid subscription or an enquiry. We send our website address with these, never the address of a report, property or other page inside the app.
  • Google's tag never loads inside the app, and never on links sent to tenants, landlords or other recipients: reports, signing pages, photo and 360 galleries, tours and appointments.
  • Google uses this data under its own privacy policy.

4. Changing Your Choice

Use "Cookie Settings" at the bottom of any page on our website to change your answer at any time. If you withdraw consent, we stop loading Google's tag and delete the _gcl_ cookies it set on our website.

5. Other Websites and Services

  • Sign in with Google: if you choose it, Google sets its own cookies on its own website. We receive only your name and email address.
  • Stripe: checkout and the billing portal are Stripe's pages, and Stripe sets its own cookies there for payments and fraud prevention, under its own privacy policy.
  • Maps: the portfolio map loads map images from OpenStreetMap, which receives your IP address to send them. No cookies are set.
  • Example photos: demo reports and design previews use example photos from Unsplash, which receives your IP address to send them. No cookies are set.

6. Managing Storage on Your Device

  • Signing out removes your sign-in token and the offline inspection data saved for your account on that device.
  • Storage Manager in the app shows the offline data on your device and lets you clear it.
  • Your browser's settings let you see and delete cookies and site data, or block them. Blocking necessary storage will stop sign-in and offline inspections working.

7. Changes to This Policy

We update this policy whenever we change what we save in your browser, and we will ask for your consent before using anything that is not necessary. The version and date at the top show the current policy. Our Privacy Policy explains how we use personal data more generally.
